ANNETTE GIL

Born on the west coast of Norway, Annette Gil now lives in Oslo where she’s been making music since 1999. For ten years she was singer and songwriter in the band called Seven. They released five albums which received great critics and the band were also known for having very intense and energetic live shows. After many productive and exciting years in Seven, it was time for a change, the band broke up and Annette decided to go solo.

Annette is introverted and mysterious, yet glamorous and playful with a strong and present punk rock energy on stage. Annette’s alt-tenor voice is very charismatic and her vocal range sometimes reminds of singers like PJ Harvey and Kate Bush. She creates her very own alternative pop world. Inspired by songs from the 70`s and 80`s glamorous and eccentric corners, you’ll hear her influences from artists like Siouxsie and the Banshees and David Bowie. Annette has performed in cities like New York, Toronto, Berlin, Liverpool and Madrid. She loves to play live and is looking forward to performing her new songs on stage.
