Laura “JONA” Wernersen from Fredrikstad was in her final year of high school when her musical talent was unexpectedly discovered at a party. She picked up a guitar, impressed the host who worked at a record label, and only weeks later she was signed after a live audition in Oslo. Music had always been a passion for JONA, with guitar, piano, and songwriting as her constant companions, but what once seemed like a distant dream quickly turned into reality.

Since then, JONA has gained recognition both in Norway and abroad. She has been interviewed on NRK P1 Østfold, highlighted by NRK P3 Urørt, and featured in outlets such as Dagsavisen, 730.no, Ballade, and Musikknyheter. Several of her singles have been listed on NRK P3’s Best akkurat nå, as well as editorial playlists like New Music Friday Norway and Indielista. On stage, JONA has performed at Musikkdagen Oslo, Hyggenfestivalen, Gamlebyen Gallaen, and for sold-out shows in Fredrikstad. Internationally, she has played concerts in Hamburg, performed two years in a row at the Midsummer Festival in Lübeck, and received attention from German music blogs. Together with her band, she also reached an impressive second place in the Norwegian finals of the Emergenza Festival at Rockefeller.
