Kim Rune Hagen is a singer from Norway, known for his strong, unorthodox voice. In 2007 he went all the way to the semifinals at The Norwegian song contest IDOL, in 2016 he participated in the Norwegian TV-show Beat for Beat and in 2021, he qualified to the finals of Norway’s largest song contest Melodi Grand Prix with his self-written song ‘My Lonely Voice’. The song is inspired by a time Kim thought he’d found the love of his life, but at their next meeting, the magic was lost and he was heartbroken. The theme is relatable and with his voice, the song brings out feelings and sends chills down your spine. It was actually because of his voice that he made it so far in the contest.
